Example of the First Method of Loci
Mastering the First Methodus of Loci also known as The Method of Loci or The Method of Location-Memory would be practicing creating a mental estate or castle where inside of the castle are unlimited and endless hallways
where each hallway is numbered from 0 to ∞ and where inside of each hallway there are 10 rooms that are numbered from 0 to 9. Inside of each room there are four solid walls where inside of each room are objects or things in 10 or more locations in a specific pattern from corner to corner in the room. Placing the
information to be memorized in each location becomes like a movie or a professional film where you are the director of that mental film and you are placing the scenes of the film reel into each separate in-order location in the room.

Once you have mastered your imagination where you can create a film in your mind that makes perfect sense to you -- you can then memorize endless amounts of information. This information could be endless strings of numbers,
facts, histories, dates, lists and just about everything. Once you have mastered the internal meditation and have control of your imagination you will find that mentally creating things and objects with symbolism in specific locations
in the room will force the brain to release a natural chemical in the brain called Acetylcholine from the Hippocampus region of the human brain. What happens inside of the human brain is something phenominal: The natural Acetylcholine chemical that is produced from the Hippocampus region of the human brain literally cooks into the regions of the brain that control memory and then cook into the neuronal synapses creating
a permanent long term memory.
The mental film reel has to be looped from beginning to end in order for this to work correctly. This is what is known as a human photographic memory of specific information and details. There are 20 known types of human photographic memory. By recalling the movie that you created in your head and placed in the corner locations in each room you will recall all of the details of that mentally created film from scene to scene. Once the mental film is made
and if you ever want to access the information all that needs to be done is to mentally open the door to the room with the film in it and play it from location to location. You can fastforward or rewind the mental film to recall the information in whatever order that you want to recall it in. This could be forwards, backwards and randomly selected as well as in a specific pattern of selection.

Ultra-Short Term, Short-Term, Medium-Term, Long-Term, Permanent, Eidetic, Photographic. The human brain will not retain 100% of the information unless you have mastered the Arts of Memory.

They put a small bottle rocket in the Arizona Tea can and it flies into the Grand Canyon of Arizona
where it explodes. Visitors in the Grand Canyon find a $1,000,000 Diamond inside of a big Noah's Ark replica by the exploded Arizona Tea can and they turn it into the local lost-and-found. The receptionist
at the local lost-and-found has long curled red fingernails and she holds the Diamond up in the light. She is curious about the authenticity of the Diamond and attempts to cut it with a jagged saw. She boards a bus and drives to Arkansas where she turns in the Diamond for a reward of $1,000,000.

eating yellow corn. Indiana Jones is seen eating yellow corn in Hawaii on the beach before boarding the new train. Indiana Jones can be heard yelling "I AM INDIANUM JONES !".

and throws it at the Italians after which he steals a rare Egyption artifact from Cairo, Egypt.

Recalling The Film
As you may have noticed it may have taken you approximately 5 to 10 minutes or less to read the clean minded stories above this paragraph. Reading these silly stories will not cause the memory to permanently retain the information in the stories. The human brain
will only memorize and retain the information if it is neatly stored in a special pattern that stands out. Once you have mastered the pattern of making the information stand out such as making it as humorous as possible you can then play back the mental film that you made in the mind like a movie or a film in the movie theater or at home. The act of recalling the film is what enables the photographic memory.
By recalling the movie that you created in your mind you will attain a photographic memory of the information memorized because you can then play the movie back in your mind scene by scene by thinking about the starting point in memory-location number: 1.
By remembering the memory-location number: 1 and the beginning object in memory-location number: 1 it will start the string of memories through each location number up to 10 or beyond and then loop back to memory-location number: 1. One must simply remember the African American Activist woman sitting inside of the bus in the Deep South of Alabama and the entire string of memories will be brought to immediate attention. With the memorized string of memories will be brought to immediate attention the information and details.. in this case the entire list of 50 U.S. States and all of its territories.
This memorized information is now permanent and you can now recite in alphabetical order the complete
list of 50 U.S. States, Federal and Non-Federal Districts and U.S. Territories in 10 - 30 seconds in front of anyone or by writing the answers down on a test if need be. Your test scores will be a perfect 100% because now you know all of the answers due to you having memorized the information. Not only can you now recite each U.S. State in alphabetical order but you instantly know how many U.S. States are within each letter of the Alphabet. Usually what happens
after creating the film is that the silly made up stories are forgotton after a duration of time unless the information is placed into the memory-locations, but the factual information remains in permanent memory so the recall of the information is now Lightning Fast. This is called memory saturation and purification. You can now go back and keep adding to the factual information such as what year each U.S. State became a U.S. State and who
fought in the battles and wars for that U.S. State. If the information is neatly placed in each memory-location the act of doing so stimulates the parts of the human brain that control navigation and location information. This would be things like remembering where you live and you will almost always remember that location because you physically go back to it every day. Try now to memorize an entire list of every country in the world in alphabetical order. After you have fully memorized a list of every country in the world in alphabetical order go back and memorize a list of every town, district, county within each country. Applying this kind of the First Methodus of Loci to that task would only take 10 - 15 minutes for a creative mind.
Mastering The Methods of Loci
The Methods of Loci are only the beginning of something called the "Arts of Memory". Mastering all of the Methods of Loci combined with newer modern memorization systems takes several years, but the first one is good enough to memorize an entire encyclopedia as well as the name and face of every human in a metropolis city. The First Method is full of riddled information but as it becomes mastered and automated by exercise a semi-photographic memory is achieved. The next set of Methodus' achieve a photographic memory capability.
